Biography and artistic approach Born in Sep-Iles (Canada) in 1973, i live and work in Montreal. Having benefited from my experience of working with both typography and silkscreen printing and now painting, I feel that abstract painting offers me much more creativity variation in format and experimentation in texture. My artistic arrangement is based on the layout of lines and the asymmetry of those. I favor an abstract approach that is, in my opinion, the most creative and also offers the most dynamical visual impact.

My work consists of legible and visible strong lines by creating a balance between the different focal points. These lines are linear delimitation between two contrasting colors, shades and textures. Thus leaving a demarcation highlighting certain strong lines whose rhythms vary from one canvas to another. The spaces between the lines determine the rhythm; as for the color creates a visual tension within the picture organization.

I use one primary color is used on each canvas to then work with the different tones and shades. Consistent of this, each work heads towards hot or cold harmonies according to my moods. My goal is to create a visual unity of the colors by focusing on successive contrasts that prompts the eye to restore the balance by itself.
